Finally, your physical wellness is well-catered for with our onsite gym facilities and medical centre. The Team: EMEA Equities Legal is a team of 33 lawyers, with FTE located in London and Paris. Prime Services Legal is a sub-set of this team comprised of 7 lawyers, including a Managing Director, 2 Directors and 4 VPs (including this open vacancy) covering Prime Brokerage, Equities Swaps and Securities Lending. The Prime Services Legal team is a highly collaborative team with excellent working relationships. The team works closely with the Prime Services, Equities Swaps and Securities Lending businesses, as their trusted advisors who work in partnership with the line of business in furtherance of achieving its goals. Cumulatively the team has a vast amount of experience and are well placed to provide ongoing support and training, with senior members actively identifying development opportunities for more junior team members. More broadly, the Global Markets Legal team have an internal mentoring program, connecting senior leaders across the legal department with teammates across all regions. In addition, the Global Markets Legal team have an external mentoring program with its key magic circle law firms, helping to develop and support diverse lawyers and in furtherance of a creating a legal profession which represents the diversity of our communities. Responsibilities: Provide legal advice and day to day support to the trading floors, e.g. equities swaps and securities lending. Providing legal support to Agreements & Documentation and Confirmations groups relating to the negotiation of equities swap and securities lending documentation. Review and negotiation of third party security arrangements, term margin agreements and other bespoke documentation. Creation and maintenance of product templates, guidelines and legal documentation summaries Involvement with related due diligence projects and other reviews, including those related to compliance with existing and forthcoming legislation and regulations, for e.g. CSDR, SFTR, UMR, MiFID II, IBOR implementation, EU BMR. Liaising with external counsel in the development of new products and regulatory compliance. Advise on development of new products and structures in the securities lending and equities swaps areas. Close engagement with Business and other key stakeholders (Compliance, Tax, Risk, Credit) What we are looking for: Qualified lawyer with 4 years pqe Experience of investment banking either through private practice advisory work/secondment or in-house legal department Direct experience in advising on equity derivative transactions.
